The Idea

FPH is a vibrant agency providing statewide services to 4,000 children & families in the child welfare system. We provide services to prevent children from entering foster care, support children & families already involved in the foster care system, and assist youth transitioning out of foster care.

The Specifics

Family Program Hawai‘i (formerly Foster Family Programs of Hawai‘i) is a 501 ©(3) social service agency dedicated to strengthening children and families involved in the child welfare system through high quality prevention and support services. Family Programs Hawai‘i (FPH) provides services to prevent children from entering foster care; supports children and families already involved in the foster care system; and assists youth transitioning out of foster care. FPH currently has approximately 60 employees in its two offices, located in Honolulu and Hilo, and a receiving home in Ma‘ili.
