The Idea

:

Seeding Labs is dedicated to helping talented scientists in developing countries conduct life-changing research. We provide them with the resources they need but don't have access to, including lab equipment, professional training and introductions to key influencers in their field.

The Specifics

Every lab, from Kenya to the Philippines, needs the basics, such as test tubes and beakers, but they also need highly specialized equipment to make life-changing discoveries. With the help from Jumo/GOOD, a 10ft container of equipment will be shipped to the developing world; equipping 2 research labs, utilized by 200+ students.

We strongly believe that scientific research is an essential component in creating the kind of sustainable, diversified economies that help developing nations lift themselves out of poverty. We work directly with scientists and universities to understand their needs for equipment, advanced training, policies that support innovation, and connections to the global community.
