With only $2,500 Village Enterprise will start 10 businesses in East Africa; providing funding, mentoring and training to 30 business owners. Sustainable incomes generated by these micro enterprises will lift over 150 people out of extreme poverty!
Village Enterprise successfully equips people living in extreme poverty with the resources to create sustainable, income-generating businesses. By providing start-up capital, business training, and mentoring to small business groups along with organizing business groups into larger savings groups, Village Enterprise provides people living in rural East Africa with the necessary tools to lift themselves out of extreme poverty.
Our businesses generate sustainable income for daily needs, while the savings groups ensure that some of that income is set aside the future, thus ensuring better nutrition, improved health, increased education for children, higher-quality housing, individual empowerment and a sense of hope now and in the future.
