In Thailand, The SOLD Project works with children at risk to prevent human trafficking & child sexual exploitation. This summer, we want to train the children in our prevention program to lead human trafficking awareness courses for their community & local schools.
Since 2007, The SOLD Project has been preventing human trafficking & child sexual exploitation in Thailand through education & community development. In the past, we’ve worked with a local organization to host human trafficking awareness programs at our Resource Center. At this summer’s biannual Parent Meeting, we’d like to hire our partner to train the older girls in our program to lead the awareness courses themselves. With this grant, The SOLD Project will be able to host trafficking awareness events for the entire community, purchase costumes & sound equipment, & train our students to take a peer-to-peer trafficking awareness course on the road to 2 – 5 of their local schools, reaching hundreds of at-risk children.
